special.olympics.gif (8535 bytes)On Saturday, November 14, 1998, the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame, in association with sponsor, Penske-Kranefuss Racing, will host the 2nd annual NASCAR auction benefiting the Special Olympics of Iredell County. The non-profit organization supports over 350 athletes in the Iredell County area as well as athletes all over the U.S. in association with the Special Olympics of North Carolina. This auction will be even more exciting this year due to the significance of North Carolina hosting the 1999 World Summer Games to be held in Raleigh, June 26 - July 4, 1999.

The auction will begin promptly at 3;00 PM at the Ball of Fame. Various Winston Cup, Busch Grand National, and Craftsman Truck Series items will be up for sale including sheet metal, crew and drivers uniforms, diecast cars and much more. The museum will also handle the silent auction for smaller items which will begin on October 22 and run through November 14 with the top bidders announced on November 14.
